With an older brother Viv, who had earned accolades as an award-winning press photographer, it was evident to both Viv and the entire family that Mark would inevitably tread the same path.
"I assisted Mark in acquiring his very first camera at the tender age of 7. As he grew, I marveled at his evolution into a natural-born, exceptionally talented professional photographer in his teenage year. His innate ability to connect with people from all walks of life and create astounding images became his forte. Even now, nearly five decades later, I remain astounded by the consistently high quality of his work."
— The late Viv Boland, Mirror Newspaper Photographer
Mark graced the front page of the Sunday Truth on numerous occasions (refer to the image on the left).
So, from the age of 7, Mark held that camera in his hands, honing his photography skills. Viv made countless efforts to help Mark "see the light," but, regrettably, such endeavors were lost on a 7-year-old. That is until, around the age of 13, Viv introduced Mark to the work of Henri Cartier-Bresson, and suddenly, everything clicked.
With four older brothers, including one in photography and three as auto electricians, Mark initially chose to follow the path of an auto electrician. He enjoyed working alongside them but found no avenue for his creative inclinations within the profession. Therefore, it came as no surprise when Mark bid farewell to the automotive trade and established Mark Taylor Photography.
For the past 26 years, he has operated under the banner of Clayfield Studio, undertaking a diverse range of photographic assignments. He has proudly held the designation of C.P.P. (Certified Professional Photographer) for over two decades and commands respect from his industry peers.
If you seek a photographer who exudes comfort in the presence of VIPs or government officials, Mark is your man. He has captured moments with Prime Ministers, Premiers, Lord Mayors, as well as ordinary MPs and even Rock Stars. And when it comes to commercial or industrial photography, chances are, he's been there and done that too.
Why not reach out to him now at 0418 726857?
